Dr. Stephanie Lake is the fifth scholar in the world to earn a Ph.D. in the History of Decorative Arts, Design History, and Material Culture.  The sole owner of the Bonnie Cashin Archive, which she inherited upon the designer’s death in 2000, Lake is at once the foremost scholar on Bonnie Cashin’s life and career, her appointed biographer, heir, and the steward of the Cashin’s legacy.
